It seems that this year will not let us see a month without sad news. One of us, who had become a "Fixture" at Jackie Don's Sunday Night Jam has passed away. I'm talking about Johnnie Woods here. Nate's will never be the same for me and many others and it didn't really hit me until I walked in there the Sunday following his funeral. Kudos to Jim Russell (AllStars), Perry Jones, Jackie Don and a few others that stepped up to guarantee he would have an appropriate ceremony. Good to see the many faces which came at short notice. We know who you are! We are still collecting money for a headstone. Come and see JR, Perry or Jackie if you have a few loose bucks... We're not in the ballpark yet to make that happen.

It’s been a tough year for many of us, with the economy and the historical election this year. Seems a good time to remind y’all that the best way to get over the blues is to get out and hear some live blues! Times have been hard for the everyone, including the musicians, so please try and get out and support them as much as you can. We need to get out and support the live music and each other in these tough times!
